About Louise Butler

Louise’s passion for the beauty industry started as a part-time makeup artist with the prestige Revlon brand, Ultima II, while pursuing her college degree.  Her family would say that it really started when she came home from kindergarten with blue chalk on her eyelids – an aspiring makeup artist even then.  Louise spent 10 years at Revlon rising to the role of VP, Field Sales, one of the youngest female VP’s in Revlon’s history at that time.  She went on to Elizabeth Arden moving into a national role as VP of Sales for a 100 million dollar division of the company.  These opportunities allowed Louise to work with the vast majority of the prestige retailers in the US and manage multiple brands simultaneously.

Using this invaluable experience, Louise shifted her career focus to working with entrepreneurs to launch brands and propel them into the marketplace. Founders have dreams for their brands including where they want to sell them and how consumers will discover them. Louise helps founders bring those dreams to life.  Recent notable brands include Drunk Elephant and Dr Barbara Sturm. Louise joined with these fledgling brands and developed the marketing strategy, operational execution and sales organization to dramatically increase their revenues and rankings. During her tenure as SVP with Drunk Elephant, the brand became the fastest growing skin care brand in Sephora’s history and was subsequently sold to Shiseido for over $800 million. Leading the US team at Dr Barbara Sturm skin care, Louise took distribution from just a handful of US points of sale to over 200 luxury retail locations and online retailers and dramatically increased sales in just two years.

As President and Founder at IGNITE Beauty Strategy, Louise customizes her role to meet the needs of the brands in their lifecycle. Drawing on her experience and relationships she ignites momentum for long term success and profit. Louise brings that needed spark and energy to set new and existing beauty brands on fire.
